I’ve never been a fan of the music of the Grateful Dead. It’s absolute BS that Ticketmaster/Live Nation can monopolize the market and screw customers over like this again and again. Now, several hours later, only a handful of single tickets are left and they are all over $400 each. At noon, when the presale started, it put me into a queue.įor the first show (Friday) there were over a thousand people ahead of me in the queue.įor the second show (Saturday) there were almost 900 people ahead of me in the queue.Įvery pair of tickets I selected, a message popped up saying, “Please wait while we secure your tickets.” About a minute after that, I’d get another message saying the the tickets had been purchased by someone else.Ī few minutes after that, the same tickets would pop back up again for twice the price, thanks to Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” algorithm, or whatever the hell they call it.īy the time my lunch break was over, nearly everything was gone. I logged on to my Ticketmaster account fifteen minutes before tickets went on sale. So, I spent my lunch break trying to get tickets to see Dead & Company at the Gorge in July. I’ll leave you with this: Please, be kind.” - Mickey “The feeling we have here - remember it, take it home and do some good with it. There's also a video stream by user B Gebs on Periscope Set 2 - Start time 9:35: Lost Sailor>Saint of Circumstance, Help on the Way>Slipknot>* Franklin's Tower>Drums>Space>The Other One, Stella Blue>Not Fade Away Set 1 - Start time ~7:20: Playing in the Band> * Cold Rain and Snow, Tennessee Jed, Feel Like a Stranger, ** He's Gone> * Bird Song, The Music Never Stopped Post in the comments where you're tuning in from! Only issue here is I will be in class until around 4:45pm PT (7:45 Eastern) so I will likely be a little late to the party, so please feel free to update the setlist in the comments while I'm gone. Over at r/Phish there are some really fantastic show discussion threads that are more fun than a frog in a glass of milk, and now that we have a real tour on our hands I think it's only appropriate that we start this up here at r/gratefuldead! I haven't seen one of these yet here so I figured I'd get the ball rolling.
